I am honored to announce that my photograph of a Boreal Owl was selected as the cover photo for the Sax-Zim Bog 2026 calendar. When I found this rare little owl during a late January snow in the northern Minnesota wildlife preserve, it was the first daylight sighting for the season. I still can't quite believe it was real - it was one of the top birding moments of my life. In total, Friends of Sax-Zim Bog requested nine of my photos for publication in their annual calendar. P
